The Cadillac V-Series has been a welcome addition to the GM performance car lineup for over twenty years, by the aftermarket enthusiast market. Kicking off with the CTS-V in 2004, it arrived to the party with a now modest 400hp, borrowing its LS6 engine from the Corvette Z06.
As time marched on and the performance bars were raised, General Motors increased engine displacement, and added a supercharger to the mix; raising the inaugural; 400 to 650, and eventually, to 668hp in the CTS-V replacement — the CT5-V Blackwing. The increase in power was also balanced out by improved braking and handling capabilities, refinements in luxury features, and more brought the car up to world-class levels.
