Typically, we send our projects to tuning shops with the intention of making them more drivable, reliable, and for optimum performance. In our world, the more power something makes, the better. But that’s not always the case with some customers. Sometimes, we end up with a vehicle that has already been modified by a previous owner. And sometimes, the faults of mismatched parts, a bad tune, or all of the above can have a long-term detrimental effect on the driving experience of your car.
These things happen from time to time, and one such scenario had played out for a recent customer of Florida High Performance. Being a C7 Corvette Grand Sport, the sky is the limit on what can be done with this car, but its current owner was a little underwhelmed with the drivability, the sound, and the overall experience. He knew that it wasn’t exactly what he wanted going into the deal, but the car was too cheery and the price was too attractive to pass up. He had to snag it.
Fast forward a few months and he was giving Erik at FLHP a call, to remedy his boosted C7; get it tuned in, quiet it down, and get the drivability where it needs to be. We can break down the entire story see, but we figured that we’d give Erik and the car’s owner a chance to tell the story themselves, in the linked video above.
