Saying that we are excited about the sixth-generation Camaro Z/28 is a massive understatement. Weāre more like aggressively and obsessively in love with the car, and canāt wait to get behind the wheel of one. When the Z/28 was spotted playing at Nurburgring by the amazing photographers over at KGP Photography, we had to get the scoop!Ā Check out the previous round of spy photos here.
To get caught up, weāve seen what we speculated to be the Z/28 before, and seeing these new photos, it seems like we were right to suspect the camo-clad Camaro to be the Z/28. For 2017, Chevy seems to be giving the Camaros all theyāve got, and we canāt wait to find out what that means for the Z/28.
As you can see from the photos, a lot of details we discussed previously have been confirmed. Itās sporting that same big style from previous photos that was covered by the car cover/anti-spy bag they throw on cars during development. Since the last set of photos shows a version without a spoiler, we were wondering if it was removable, and it very well could be, judging by the design seen in this photo.
GM seems fully intent on carrying on the track-focused design of the model. This will likely mean no air conditioning, no stereo, no sound deadening, and a high-horsepower package. We canāt exactly tell anything about whatās under the hood, but there are a few more clues about this one than photos have shown in the past.
The test car has deep canards on the front bumper, a huge grille opening, thin five-spoke wheels (which look totally different than the 5th-gen Z/28), and a lot of airflow for the brakes. GM seems to be telling us something too with the yellow fender stripes, weāre listening Chevy, now roll it out!
