Our friend Erik at Florida High Performance has been cranking away at his personal (and shop) project ZL1 Camaro. We’ve seen this car several times before on the GMEFI site, but Erik decided to dig a little deeper yet again, revisiting the available options of LT4 supercharger lids currently on the market.
Some of the most-known offerings are here, as well as one new entry. In this case, we see a face-off between the Weapon X Motorsports, TooHighPSI, DSX Tuning, MPI, and Late Model Performance. Now granted, the differences in horsepower and torque are relatively small, but there are unique features and benefits to each one, as well as slightly different price points. Some of them fit a little differently from the others, while some examples sit a little higher, so keep that in mind when you’re selecting a lid for your particular vehicle.
Erik performed back to back installs on each lid, with TooHighPSI’s entry, seemingly being among his favorites. It is on the higher end of the price scale, however, it does offer additional customization options. The results are depicted below, but you can get a better idea of how each and every one of the different lids performed throughout the testing in the hosted video above.
