Summit Racing Releases a Camshaft Bearing Bore Alignment Tool for GM LS Engines

Official Release:

Summit Racing™ Camshaft Bearing Bore Alignment Tool for GM LS Engines

You’re a gearhead who uses the right tools for the job. If you need to install cam bearings in an LS engine properly install and remove clutch head screws in a vintage GM vehicle, or lift up stuff, these new Summit Racing tools are just what you need.

When you’re installing new cam bearings in an LS engine block, the first four (from back to front of the engine) are usually no problem. That’s because the block helps keep the cam bearing installation tool centered in the bearing bores. But when it comes to the front cam bearing, there is nothing to keep the installation tool centered in the bore. That means the chances of that bearing going in cockeyed are pretty high.

The Summit Racing™ Cam Bearing Alignment Tool solves that problem. The tool bolts to the block and extends out 16 inches from the front cam bearing journal. It holds the bearing tool’s alignment cone perfectly concentric and in-line, ensuring that front bearing goes in dead straight every time. The Summit Racing Cam Bearing Alignment Tool fits Gen-III and Gen-IV LS engines.
