The C7 Corvette is America’s only true sports car (sorry, Viper) and continues to be thanks to an ever-growing aftermarket. Everyone from tuning shops to our friends at DiabloSport have jumped on board recently, each offering their own twist to what, on the surface, appears to be a perfect car.
However, nothing is perfect and everything could use its own twist. Squeezing out additional power has never been easier and with the help of DiabloSport, that statement has never been more true! They’ve recently launched tunes for both the 2016 C7 Singray and the Z06 Corvette. Read more about them below!
DiabloSport Releases Tuning Software for 2016 Stingray and Z06
The Corvette is a joy to drive stock, but DiabloSport has a passion for horsepower power and they could not resist building an even better ride!
When the DiabloSport team got their hands on one of the new 2016 Corvettes, their first order of business was to strap it to the dyno and start tuning. They made big power on the 6.2L LT4 powerplant with respectable gains of 20 rear-wheel power on the C7, and 30 on the Z06.
After their initial dyno testing, DiabloSport took both cars out on the street for drivability testing. Even though both Corvettes had tons of power; there were still a lot of tuning tweaks they did for a better driving experience. Both cars suffered from some heat soak issues, whether tuned or otherwise, which caused a huge drop in power around 4K RPM.
They addressed that in their tunes which allow for full power all the way through the RPM range regardless of heat (keeping the safety precautions intact). Their R&D team further enhanced the tune to increase throttle response, and then they added an adjustable option called “Throttle Booster” that allows users to adjust throttle sensitivity on their own. DiabloSport also added adjustable options to their performance programmers like spark, fuel, cooling fans, idle RPM, tire size and gear ratio.
Whether you are just looking for more power or more responsiveness in your 2015 or 2016 Corvette, DiabloSport’s performance programmers are an easy way to make even more horsepower without even popping the hood!
- Helps eliminate heat soak
- Gain as much as 20 rwhp on Stingray and 30 rwhp on Z06
- “Throttle Booster” allows users to adjust throttle sensitivity on their own
- Adjustable options for spark, fuel, cooling fans, idle RPM, tire size and gear ratio
