VIDEO: Trans Am Worldwide Builds a 1500RWHP 70/SS

If you’ve been following our site for any length of time, you know how we feel about the cars that Trans Am Worldwide has cranked out over the years. You can see quite a few of those articles from the past, HERE.

Looking at what they’re cranking out today, and it’s interesting to see how their business and clientele has evolved, having announced the completion of their Trans Am builds last year, they are now focusing on recreating other classic muscle cars, other than their namesake, the Trans Am.

Their most recent attempt, is the 70/SS — essentially, a retro muscle car based off of the 1970 Chevelle. Using Alpha chassis vehicles (mainly Camaros, but also Cadillac ATS and CTS models) to recreate the modern classic, countless modifications are done to the car to create the piece of artwork you see on this page. This particular example, started off as a convertible Camaro, but has undergone so much of a transformation, that there’s nothing really much “Camaro” about it, anymore. There are remnants, sure, but much of it has been bent, twisted, shaped, and shifted away from the modern Camaro, that it is now so much more.

Ordered by one Mr. Pfitzner, this creation began almost as soon as the original green car was unveiled almost two years ago. Unique touches to the car include a one-off shade of blue, and Ferrari leather seating upholstery. In fact, just about every inch of the car is unique, and customized to the owner’s taste and style — including  its 1500 rear-wheel horsepower output. It’ll make for a nice addition to his incredible collection, which also includes various exotics and an original ’70 Chevelle SS 454 convertible.
