Hennessey Performance is a big name in the tuning industry. Based 45-minutes outside of Houston, Texas, they offer various performance packages for various vehicles – including late-model GM products.
Recently, in a test to not only promote their 700 hp “HPE700” C7 upgrade kit, but to truly show you the performance difference between it and a stock C7, they lined up a such an example against a bone-stock version. You know, just to show you how much an improvement an additional 240 hp makes.
SetĀ up on a street in Mexico (probably), we see these two C7s put their respective power down, using the yellow car’s horn honking off the “three beeps”in typical street racer fashion.
The white stocker, actually held the yellow HPE700 off for about the first 100-feet or so, but once that yellow car’s tires bit, all bets were off leaving the stock C7 in it’s wake. Ā Not that we’re totally surprised by the outcome, but the gap between the two vehicles was substantial.
This is what happens when you compare a fast car to one with 700 horsepower. Hennessey claims the package is actually putting downĀ 708 rwhp, and that they will only build 100 copies for 2014.
