If you’ve been reading GMEFI Magazine for the last year, you know we’ve been working with Erik Bentley at Florida High Performance for the last few years. Cranking out some of the fastest GM-motivated cars in South Florida, Erik’s shop is small, but mighty. His attention to detail is second to none, and he’s always implementing some of the best hardware that money can buy into his customer builds, as well as his own personal car.
Speaking of which, it’s been a minute since we’ve seen Erik’s sixth-generation ZL1 Camaro make an appearance on his channel. Over the weekend, he’s managed to change that with this brand new video update that spotlights some great companies.
Looking to build upon the already-solid foundation we’ve seen the previous episode, this time, he elected to upgrade the top end of his supercharged LT4, a major part of the ingredients are the Late Model Engines (LME) CNC-ported cylinder heads.
Paired with the heads, is a Max Effort Cam Motion bumpstick, created by FLHP and Cam Motion with boost in mind.
Other components that have recently went into the build, is the ported blower from Jokerz Performance, a Katech oil pump and throttle body, Manton pushrods, Johnson lifters and more. Erik walks us through the build, the car’s components, and the final dyno numbers on the Dynojet. Speaking of, the final numbers ended up tallying up to 821hp and 834 lb-ft of torque to the roller with a blend of 93-octane and VP Racing MS109. Is there more to come with Bad Punk’n? Probably, and we’ll be sure to bring you that update when it happens as well. Meanwhile, be sure to watch the video, like and subscribe to FLHP’s YouTube channel, and let’s continue to support those that support us.
