We are excited to share D3Cadillac‘s latest video from the Cadillac Challenge. Rounds 4 & 5 took place in Austin, Texas at the brand new F1 track, the Circuit of the Americas. The event saw some amazing racing over the course of two beautiful days on April 25th and 26th. Racers from all over the country headed into the Lone Star State to battle for top prizes in their respective categories and a chance towards the championship.
The Cadillac Challenge travels to some of the premier tracks around the country and the stop in Texas was no different. We had the opportunity to listen to the intoxicating sounds of supercharged LSA engines tearing up the track and watching the big Cadillacs show what an amazing platform they are built on.
Both generations of CTS-V were well represented, including the silver D3 Competion-Spec Widebody Race Car, that packs a 427ci. LSx powerplant, a Harrop supercharger, and pretty much every possible modification you can throw at a V1. It’s one of the most competitive cars that D3 has ever built, and it had more than held its own against not only other Cadillacs, but some of the best from Europe and Asia as well.
During the event course records were broken, victory was tasted by some and so was heartache. But the camaraderie, and friendly environment are some of the things that make the Cadillac Challenge an amazing series where you can get involved and share your passion for racing with fellow enthusiast.
So check out the hosted video and listen to the sights and sounds of V’s going at it in Texas. Plus, be on the look out for Round 6 and Spring Mountain May 16th and 17th. You can keep up with the latest on the series through CadillacRace Facebook page and website.
