In a strange case of “worlds colliding,” a CTS-V takes on a McLaren MP4-12C at a recent Runway Rivalry half-mile event hosted by DallasRacing.net.
These two cars are simply an unlikely pairing on the face of it, but when you have a 661 hp European supercar, and a 556 hp CTS-V sedan that’s just a few bolt-ons away from at least matching the power output of the McLaren, facing these two legends off against each other isn’t that unrealistic.
We ran across this video today, thanks to our friends at CarBuzz.com, and while the nitty-gritty details of each car and their respective owners remain murky as of this writing, the results are still impressive. Not only is there an apparent power advantage tipping towards the Caddy, you have to keep in mind that the ‘V weighs quite a bit more than the $239,00 supercar.
Either way, both are beautiful and impressive machines and we would have no regrets owning either of them. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said by some of the individuals commenting in the video’s comments section. Haters are going to hate.
