Official Release:
Attention autocrossers—do we have an event for you.
Summit Racing Equipment’s Autocross Week, presented by UMI Suspension and Hawk Brakes, is an all-new event scheduled for July 11-15, 2022. Think of Autocross Week as the ultimate test of your car’s reliability and racing chops—autocrossers will compete at three different tracks over four days and drive their race cars on public roads to each track, stopping at required check points along the way. Cars can’t be trailered, towed, dragged, or otherwise toted, but are allowed to tow a small trailer. Since you’ll be driving on the street, your car needs to have valid registration, insurance, and required equipment for highway use.
Summit Racing Autocross Week features seven competition classes:
Vintage for cars made up to 1975
Classic for cars made from 1976 to 1996
Sport for cars made from 1997 through the present excluding factory ultra-high performance variants (C7 Carbon, ZL1 Camaro, GT350/500, etc.)
Super Sport for ultra-high performance variants of production models, exotic performance vehicles, and production/replica-based kit cars
Boosted for factory forced induction four- and six-cylinder cars
Naturally Aspirated for factory naturally aspirated four- and six-cylinder cars
Unlimited is an unrestricted class allowing non-production powertrains, suspension and curb weight
