It seems like only yesterday when the LS-series engines had taken the world by storm, and they started popping up in everything from ’69 Camaros to airplanes. It’s been said time and time again that they’re the “new small-block” in terms of their parts availability, ease of modification and their compact design.
Well there’s a new kid in town, and already, they’re becoming the new go-to engine for hot-rodders and car builders all over. Dubbed the LT1, it packs more horsepower, torque and tech than its successor and although its been out and about for almost five years, the aftermarket and the general public have been taking their time in embracing it.
While that it’s partly due to the aforementioned tech, tuning and the still somewhat unfamiliarity of the engine, but luckily, our friends at PSI Conversion are helping move it alone with their new Standalone Harnesses and ECUs!

LT1 / L83 / L86 Gen V Standalone Wiring Harnesses & Engine Controller Kits – Now Available Though PSI Conversion!
Brick, NJ. October, 2018 – PSI is pleased to introduce their new LT1/L83/L86 Standalone Wiring Harnesses for the new 2014+ 5.3L and 6.2L GM Gen V Direct Injection Engines.
These harnesses are designed for retrofitting 2014+ LT1/LT4/Ecotec3 (L83/L86) engines with Manual or 6L80E/6L90E transmissions into older muscle cars/street rods or newer non-emissions controlled vehicles. They are completely plug and play with four wire hookup (switched power, constant power and ground connections required). Harnesses are designed with a sliding grommet seal and approx. 4 feet of length from the rear of the passenger cylinder head to the ECM mounting position under the vehicle dashboard. A sliding grommet seal allows for professional, leak proof installation.
Harnesses are professionally constructed from Brand New GM Factory/OEM Connectors and TXL (Polyethylene Cross Linked) High Temperature Wire to GM Specifications. All harnesses are 100% Quality Inspected prior to shipping. All harnesses require ECM VATs removal, available through PSI. Please contact PSI for more information.
