2018 is going to be another big year for F-Body enthusiasts as the 2018 Rick’s Camaro F-Body Nationals have set a date for September 21st-22nd. The inaugural F-Body Nationals event in Memphis, TN 2017 created such a buzz in the F-Body community, that Eckler’s has jumped on the chance to become the title sponsor of the event in 2018, on through to 2020.
The F-Body Nationals was the talk of 2017, and left many wondering about the future of the event. It was hosted inline with the 50th year anniversary of the Camaro, so the 2017 event was promoted as a celebration of such. This diverse event kicked off with the segmentation that would make any enthusiast happy.
As it will in 2018, the 2017 event included a car show, autocross, drag racing, swap meet, and raffled off a 1967 Camaro. For the 2018 year, a 1968 Camaro giveaway will allow one lucky attendee to take home a classic Camaro. The event organizers are expecting a much bigger crowd this year as the word has gotten out since the first run of it.
The Show-N-Shine car show is open to any generation and year, and custom hand built trophies will be handed out to the winners. Drag racing will include fun runs, different classes of competition racing, and special exhibition runs. CPP Classic Performance Products’ autocross was a big attraction at last year’s event, and will likely attract some killer corner carvers this year again.
The swap meet is gearing up to be one of the biggest F-Body swap meets around with thousands of used parts, equipment, merchandise, and memorabilia on sale. This is an idea time to find hard-to-find parts at a bargain, or unload some of the parts taking up space in your garage.
We’ll be there covering the event if you can’t make it, so keep an eye on our site and social pages for all the action!
