Bring Your GEN-V LT to the Next Level with COMP Cams Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker System

Our friends at COMP Cams have recently announced these amazing new rocker arms for GEN-V LT engines, namely, the LT1, LT2, LT4, and LT6. They’ll also work in your 6.2L L86 that’s found in full-sized pick-ups and SUVs. If you’re rocking a 5.3 L83, however, you’re out of luck without swapping the heads over to the L86 castings. Check out the official release below on these from our friends at Summit Racing.

Official Release:

Stop the Deflection and Restore Lost Valve Lift with a COMP Cams Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker System for GM Gen V LT Engines

Deflection is the enemy of your Gen V LT engine’s valvetrain. It consumes some of the valve lift your camshaft is designed to deliver. That means lost horsepower.

The COMP Cams Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker System solves that problem. It’s a bolt-on shaft rocker system that ties pairs of rocker arms together to increase valvetrain stiffness and reduce deflection. That can make the camshaft perform like a slightly larger one as more of the lobe  lift is transferred directly to the valvetrain instead of being absorbed by deflection in the cylinder head and the factory-style single-bolt rocker mounting design. The Max-Lift BSR  system also allows the use of more aggressive cams up to .675-inch of valve lift.

The Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker System uses proven factory-style rocker bodies and tri-layer bushings instead of needle bearings. The bushings increase rocker rigidity, decrease rocker pad wear, and ensure the rocker pad and valve tip remain parallel through the contact sweep. They fit Gen V LT1/LT2/LT4/LT6 engines and L86 engines. It does not fit the L83 5.3L cylinder heads.
