Chevy’s Camaro ZL1 from the factory is already an actual beast of a car but when the geniuses at Hennessey get a hold of one it’s a whole different animal. Thanks to a recent video posted to the Hennessy YouTube channel you can now take a virtual test drive of the 1000-horsepower ZL1 they dubbed the Exorcist.
Hennessy is not a new name in the automotive industry. For the past 30 years, the team has been working to “make fast cars faster.” From domestic muscle cars to in-house-built hypercars, Hennessy has made a name for itself in the automotive world. In fact, the company has modified over 10k-cars over the years. However, one of the most extreme comes in the form of a 1,000-horsepower Camaro ZL1 that they created to battle the Demon.
Starting with a stock 650-horsepower Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Hennessy provides the already fast car with a group of specially developed go-fast goodies that boost the car’s capabilities to a 60-foot sprint of under 3-seconds and quarter-mile ET of less than 10-seconds. However, the car really made headlines in 2018 when it broke the Corvette ZR1’s top speed with a sprint to 217-mph. Upgrades include a 2.9-liter supercharger, a larger intercooler system, CNC ported cylinder heads, a camshaft, a reworked exhaust, a high-flow cold air induction system, and a specialized tune.
Unfortunately, a price tag of well $100k and a super limited production puts this incredible car out of reach for a lot of people. However, not being able to get your hands on one doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a closer look at the car created to tame the Demon. Hennessy recently posted this video of Exorcist test drive to its YouTube Channel and it is definitely worth checking out.
