FAST™ LSXHR™ Intake Manifold Intercooler For LS Engines
FAST™ is expanding on its LSXHR™ line with the introduction of an air-to-water intercooler designed as a perfect solution to cool the air charge on an LS-based centrifugal-supercharged or turbocharged engine using one of the popular Hi-Ram style intake manifolds such as the composite FAST LSXHR 103mm Intake Manifold.* This intercooler is the perfect solution for mid-to-high-boost applications with its large -16AN water inlet/outlet providing tremendous cooling capacity and minimal pressure drop across the core.
With other intercooler styles, the intercooler is mounted remotely from the engine requiring the fabrication of piping from the supercharger/turbocharger outlet to the intercooler and then back to the throttle body. On the other hand, the LSXHR intercooler fits conveniently between the upper and lower intake manifold, minimizing under-hood piping and simplifying the installation by saving space, time, and cost. Finished in an attractive and durable black powder coat finish, its sturdy welded-billet construction and O-ring sealing on both the air and water sections provide worry-free operation.
Testing conducted on a 1,350 HP/20psi turbocharged-LSX application showed a 198-degree/F drop in air temperature and less than 1psi loss across the intercooler.
*Note: FAST Short Stack Runners (PN 146074) are required to use with LSXHR 103mm Intake Manifold.
