Official Release:
The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals is proud to announce the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series is expanding to all six NMCA events in 2020.
“The popularity of the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series shows the excitement the LS/LT community brings to the NMCA. Its growth over the last few years is why we are expanding to all six national events,” says Rollie Miller, general manager of the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals.
The season launches with NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem at Bradenton Motorsports Park (Bradenton, FL) March 5-8 and then moves north to the NMCA All-Star Nationals at Atlanta Dragway (Commerce, GA) April 2-5. A new stop on tour brings the racers and fans to the NMCA Midwest Muscle Car Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (Madison, IL) May 28-31. The second half of the season begins with the hugely popular NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing at Route 66 Raceway (Joliet, IL) July 30-August 2 followed by the NMCA All-American Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk, OH) August 27-30. The Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series championship concludes with the NMCA World Street Finals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis (Indianapolis, IN) September 24-27.
The 14th Annual LSX Shootout will take place at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway and will feature the Brian Tooley Racing Real Street Shootout, which retains the same format as 2019 with the quickest LS/LT powered Xtreme Street entries forming a special Saturday night eliminator.
Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series championship categories include Chevrolet Performance Stock presented by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center, Proform Rumble, and LME Street King. All class champions will receive a championship ring and participate in the Champions Dinner held during the PRI Show.
Every NMCA event also features the popular Chevrolet Performance Street Car Challenge, which offers a limited free-entry promotion to the first 75 pre-entered vehicles.
