VIDEO: 2015 Camaro Spring Edition Announced

LastĀ year, Chevrolet released a special trim and color package on the Camaro called the Spring Edition. Painted white with a center blue stripe, it made many enthusiasts recall the paint scheme on the ’70-72 Pontiac Trans Am. Now for 2015, there will be a new one.

This time around, the Spring Edition is painted Emerald Green Metallic with Cyber Grey rallyĀ stripes adorning the hood and decklid – reminiscent of those early Camaros of a bygone era. The paint scheme even runs across the SS hood’s heat extractor, whereas in the standard car they remain unpainted.

Available in both coupe and convertible body styles, the car will include a black leather interior trim with Graphite Silver door and interment panels.

The 2015 Emerald Green Camaro also includes:

  • Standard RS Appearance Package
  • Body Color ZL1 Rear Spolier
  • Body Color Accessory Ground Effects Package
  • 21-inch Chrome Dusk “Accessory Wheels” (export cars get 10-inch polished wheels)

You can also order an optional short-throw shifter, low-restriction catback exhaust, a sunroof, and navigation. We think it will be an attractive, standout package when it’s released.

The actual car will be unveiled at SEMA 2014 (exactly 30-days from when this article is written), and while we have a feeling the CamaroĀ as you see it here is pretty much the final product, we know for certain that the name isn’t. In fact, according to the GM Media website, they are holding a contest right now on Facebook and Twitter that you can join in on to help choose the car’s name!

You can either head over toĀ twitter.com/Chevrolet orĀ facebook.com/chevycamaro to enter the contest. The winner will be announced at SEMA.Ā We suggest you guys get creative as possible – we can’t let the Hellcat get all of the attention.

**UPDATE: The official name for the 2015 Spring Edition has been announced as the Green Flash – voted by the fans of The Block and Chevrolet Performance.
