Official Release:
LINGENFELTER PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING OFFERS PRECISION C7 CAMSHAFTS FOR 2014-2015 CORVETTE STINGRAYS
DECATUR, Ind. – Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) now offers precision-engineered camshafts for 2014-2015 Corvettes, designed with the uncompromising excellence that is the hallmark of LPE performance-enhancing engine components.
Created to integrate seamlessly into the seventh-generation Corvette’s technologically-advanced engine, these proprietary performance upgrades deliver optimum power and drivability for normally-aspirated and supercharged or turbocharged engine applications. With decades of GM performance tuning expertise, including contributing to the development of the advanced “LT5” engine which powered the notable 1990 Corvette ZR-1, Lingenfelter’s chief engineer Graham Behan led a talented team in a rigorous development process and real-world testing to design sophisticated, compatible component options.
All camshafts use a stock fuel pump lobe and are manufactured using top-quality EN40b steel bar stock, which is heat treated using gas nitriding to produce a surface hardness of 55-60 HRC. Precise carving and grinding and a stringent quality control process result in durable products which include:
