NITTO TIRE ANNOUNCES NEW COMPETITION DRAG RADIAL TIRE

The NT555RII combines a high-grip compound, semi-racing construction and versatile tread design to ensure high performance on the street and track.

Cypress, Calif. (April 1, 2020) Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc., a leading manufacturer of off-road, street and SUV performance tires, has announced the launch of a new competition drag radial tire, the Nitto 555RII. The NT555RII works in unison with the NT555 G2Ô summer performance street tire, so you can put the drag radials on the rear axle and the NT555 G2s on the front.

The NT555RII is a D.O.T.-compliant competition drag radial designed with additional flexibility for the weekend drag racer. The high-grip compound and semi-racing construction provide increased traction at the starting line, while the large circumferential grooves aid wet handling on the street.

“Nitto Tire is committed to relentlessly searching for ways to make our products better serve our customers,” said Ryan Parszik, Nitto Tire U.S.A.’s Product Development Manager. “The NT555RII is a direct result of that commitment. We wanted to develop the perfect partner for our high-performance NT555 G2 that’s flexible for both drag racing and street driving.”
