Video: Canada Gets A New Callaway Camaro Option

Up until now, Canadians would have to break the bank to get a Camaro that breaks the 600-horsepower barrier. While the ZL1 is absolutely incredible, its $70,000 Canadian price tag puts it out of reach for a lot of people. However, Callaway has come up with a solution for those Canadians that are feeling the horsepower fever.

The 2020 Callaway SC630 LT1 Camaro is based off the standard 2020 Camaro coupe body but with a 460-horsepower 6.2-liter LT1 engine backed by a 6-speed manual transmission and it features big Brembo brakes. Callaway then further tunes each car with the addition of a Callaway GenThree Supercharger with a TripleCooled intercooler system and a high flow intake system.

Not only does the Callaway Camaro walk away from the competition with its 630-horsepower, but it also comes equipped with many special features that are unique to Callaway vehicles, such as interior and exterior badging, door sill panels, embroidered floor mats, and key fobs. All of the Callaway modifications are General Motors approved, so they will not void the GM factory warranty of the base parts and all of the Callaway parts are covered by a separate 3 year/36,000 mile Limited Warranty. Each car also comes with Callaway Authenticity Documentation.

The ZL1 does still have some advantages over the Callaway Camaro, but for those on a budget or looking for a sleeper, the SC630 is the way to go. For the time being, Canadians will have to make their way to Wilson Niblett Chevrolet in Ontario to order theirs, although it is likely Callaway will expand to other dealerships in the future. What is still unclear though, is whether or not Callaway’s other Camaro options, such as the ZL1 based SC750, will be made available to their neighbors to the north.
